You can open Word and go to File > Account > About Word to find the Office version, while click your avatar Teams web version to check if it's available to open the file in Word desktop app. Meanwhile, to determine whether it's a client issue, please sign in
Once in the directory, remove all the files in this folder and restart Teams. Go to File Explorer, and type in %appdata%\Microsoft\teams.ģ. To do this, either right click Teams from the Icon Tray and select ‘Quit’, or run Task Manager and fully kill the process.Ģ. Fully exit the Microsoft Teams desktop client. Please first try to clear Teams cache to rebuild your Teams structure and check if it helps.ġ. Based on your description, Teams cannot call Word desktop app to open the files.
